The Popular Party of Rivas Vaciamadrid will request at the January municipal plenary session the Government team of the Rivas City Council to “immediately” include the Jarama school in the school route program ‘By bus to school’.
The petition, which has already been registered by the popular group, aims to “facilitate the collection of students with motor problems”. It should be remembered that the CEIP Jarama de Rivas is a preferred early childhood and primary education center for motor students.
In a note, the Popular Party of Rivas exposes the specific case of Alejandro, a child who goes to Jarama school with his brother, Álvaro, and his mother, Marta, on the public bus line 331.
Marta, as she told Diario de Rivas in this report, has been denouncing for some time the difficulty they have in getting to the center on time because they coincide at the same time with another person traveling with a baby stroller.
This person, by boarding the bus before Alejandro and his family, making use of his right, occupies the only seat reserved for passengers with reduced mobility and baby strollers that is available in the La Veloz fleet that covers this interurban line.

In the opinion of the Rivas Popular Party, “It is urgent to find a solution for this family “Every day he faces the uncertainty of not knowing if his children will arrive at school on time, a situation currently aggravated by the inclement weather typical of winter.”
For this reason, the blue formation asks the consistory to design “as a matter of urgency a school route that includes the Jarama school and that it comes into operation as soon as possible.”
The spokesperson for the popular parties in the Rivas City Council, Janette Novo, highlights the argument put forward by her party: “Taking into account that the City Council is the administration closest to the citizens and that it must address the needs and problems of its neighbors, from the People’s Party We consider that it is essential to offer an urgent and immediate solution to facilitate Alejandro and Álvaro’s travel to their educational center,” says Novo.
