Director Sajid Yahia reacts to the negative reviews against the film ‘Khalb’. The director says that the fact that there is no booking for the film in the theaters is breaking his heart. Sajid also says that when the scorned go looking for the next victim, all that remains is his dream.
“Those green fields break my heart. Khalb’s show is going on in empty auditoriums…if not today, tomorrow that too will end. They will also go in search of the next victim with a lot of taunts and scornful words. All that remains is my dream of ‘Khalb’. And its real audience, which I firmly believe it missed.
I am sure Khalb’s beats will reach them someday. But today, beyond these rip-offs, the give-and-take between me and the general audience is gone, and at least for the time being, the beating of my heart. There is no perfection in art. There is absoluteness in blaming art. That is the worst situation here. I will go ahead. We will meet somewhere.” – Sajid Yahia’s words.
‘Khalb’ is a film directed by Sajid Yahia after Edi and Mohanlal. Ranjith Sajeev, who made his acting debut with the film ‘Mike’, played the lead role. It was produced by Vijay Babu under the banner of Friday Films.
