FAJAR.CO.ID, MAKASSAR– The young players who attended the U-20 National Team’s training camp (TC) will be sent home in early February. Including PSM’s three wonderkids.
The three of them, namely Mufli Hidayat, Sulthan Zaky, and Syamil Bahij Irawan are certain to be able to return to strengthen the Ramang Troop squad in the 2023/2024 League 1 follow-up match in week 24 against Persita Tangerang.
The coach of the Indonesian U-20 National Team, Indra Sjafri, will send home all the players who took part in the training camp after playing trial matches scheduled against two countries this month. The players’ return is planned for February 1.
“With Thailand, this is not certain. If Thailand doesn’t want to, we will hold two trial sessions with Uzbekiztan on January 26 and January 30,” said Indra, Saturday, January 13.
After the two trial matches, Indra will return the players to their respective clubs to prepare for the League 1 match which is planned to continue on January 30 2024.
However, if there are no preparations for League 1, the training camp (TC) schedule for the players in the U-20 National Team will be extended.
The various trial matches for the U-20 National Team are part of TC’s preparations for entering the 2025 U-20 World Cup in Chile.
“This is all done so that the information we choose for the players is truly accurate and we don’t make the wrong choice,” he said.
PSM employee, Mufli Hidayat, who is currently attending the training camp, provided an overview of his activities.
