The Washington Capitals won 3-2 against the New York Rangers on Saturday at Capital One Arena.
The team from the American capital trailed 2 to 1 after 40 minutes of play. That being said, they scored two goals in less than two minutes during the last period to secure the victory.

Nic Dowd notably showed great hand-eye coordination after a set-up by Evgeny Kuznetsov, which allowed the Capitals to tie the game at 2-2. TJ Oshie scored the winning goal on assists from Dylan Strome and Joel Edmundson.
Anthony Mantha also scored in the first half for the local favorites. Charlie Lindgren, the former Montreal Canadiens goalkeeper, was elected the first star of the match, the latter having made 25 saves for his team.
For the Rangers, Adam Fox made the red light shine twice. He now has seven goals this season.
Thanks to this victory, Washington is only a small point behind the Tampa Bay Lightning, who are the second team drafted in the Eastern Association. The Capitals will once again face the New York club on Sunday.
