Epirus Regional Governor Alexandros Kahrimanis hopes and insists that the High Technology and Research Park can enter the Recovery Fund with a reduced budget.
During a press conference called by the Region of Epirus on Friday morning, with the main topic being the development of the project’s withdrawal from the Recovery Fund, Mr. Kahrimanis expressed the optimism that the project can be included in the Recovery Fund, even in five …
The press conference and the first statement of the Regional Governor on this matter was given one day after the announcement by the Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion, Maria Kefala, about her meeting with the Deputy Minister of Economy, during which Nikos Papathanasis, according to what was mentioned in the press release of the Ioannina MP, pledged that “the Ministry is examining the possibility of securing 50% of the funding, with the necessary condition of streamlining the project’s budget”.

As for the rest, Mr. Kahrimanis reiterated that the Region of Epirus did not know about the decision to withdraw the project from the Recovery Fund and stop the loan request.
Finally, when asked if there was bad handling by the Region of Epirus, Mr. Kahrimanis did not admit that any mistake was made.
