Sparta is to send two million euros (49 million crowns) to Norway, Markus Solbakken signed for them on Tuesday.
“The dealings on the part of Viking were direct, fair, of course clearly difficult. Our relations continue to be good, everything was fair. But I wouldn’t say that it was the most difficult transfer I’ve made,” commented Letenské sports director Tomáš Rosický.

Priske did not exaggerate his role in the arrival of Solbakken, he especially praised the club management. “I think Brian’s influence was greater than he mentions. The coach has a vital role in every player who comes to Sparta. We have a clear process for selecting players. I know from my own experience that every player wants to hear what plans the coach has for him. Brian is at the beginning and end of the process at the most fundamental points,” said Rosický.
However, what can be expected from Solbakken is crucial. In the midfield, Priske already has a varied selection, available are Lukáš Sadílek, Kaan Kairinen, Qazim Laci, David Pavelka, if necessary, captain Ladislav Krejčí, who, however, starts mainly in the stopper trio, or the more offensive-minded Michal Ševčík.

Solbakken scored two goals from the position of a defensive midfielder in the last season of the Norwegian league, which is played in the spring-autumn system. He started twenty-seven games in the Eliteserien out of thirty, always in the starting line-up.
