The blood sample that Ivaylo Tsvetkov-Noyzi gave after he was caught driving under the influence late last year showed a higher per mille than originally reported.
According to the results of the research, the cultural anthropologist was driving with 2.52 per million in blood, which is more than those reported by the doctor – 2.12, sources from the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office told “Bulgaria Today”.
This definitely makes Noisey’s current situation worse, as according to the law, those per mille are enough to get him charged and sent to prison, where he can spend between one and three years behind bars for such a crime.
However, according to investigators, there is a high probability that Noisey will still get away with only a suspended sentence and a fine of up to BGN 1,000, since this is his first offense. In the event of such a repeat, then it is almost certain that the fate of Chief Tokev, who lies behind bars in Kazichene, will follow.
While waiting for the results of the blood test, Noisey had his car and driver’s license confiscated, and was ordered to pay BGN 15,000 bail after being detained for 24 hours. However, he appealed the amount and it was reduced to BGN 3,000, dir.bg also writes.
