Civilians Arrested for Assaulting Saipul Jamil’s Assistant in Jakarta

Two civilians with the initials RP alias Ucok (26) and I alias Busuk (23) were arrested after assaulting Saipul Jamil’s assistant whose name is Steven Arthur Ristiandy. The suspect admitted he made a mistake and apologized for the incident.

“Previously I apologized for the incident, because we made a mistake. Once again I apologize to all the police, we have hit driver that,” said Busuk in a press conference at the West Jakarta Metro Police, Friday (12/1/2024).

I alias Busuk admitted that he was emotional after one of his friends was hit by Steven, who ran away when chased by the police. Busuk admitted that he was chasing Steven’s car until he finally hit him when the police managed to stop the car.

“Because we were victims of a hit from him and our friend was injured, we were emotional and helped chase. “When we got there, we immediately went in and hit, because I made a mistake, I was emotional,” said I alias Busuk.

“Once again I apologize to the driver, to the gentlemen, I apologize deeply so that we can be forgiven, sir,” he said.

Two Persecutors Arrested

Civilians had time to join in see and beat Saipul Jamil’s assistant, Steven, when police carried out an ambush in West Jakarta. The perpetrator has now been arrested by the police.

“Investigators succeeded in apprehending the two perpetrators of the abuse,” said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes M Syahduddi to journalists at the West Jakarta Police, Friday (12/1/2024).

One of the suspects is RP alias Ucok (26), whose address is Pesing Koneng RT 9 RW 2, North Kedoya Village, Kebon Jeruk District, West Jakarta. At the time of the incident, Ucok was wearing a black jacket and black helmet.

“The role at the time of the incident was pulling the hair of the drug abuse suspect in the name of S, and hit the suspect’s lips with the right hand,” he said.

The second suspect, I alias Busuk (23), is a resident of Gambir, Central Jakarta. At the time of the incident, the suspect Busuk was wearing a gray helmet and red jacket.

“We apply Article 170 of the Criminal Code,” he said.

“With the arrest of the two community members who were involved in the beating and were also verbally abused, what I said in the first release was that those who carried out the beating and intimidation were not members of the National Police,” he said.

Syahduddi emphasized that the suspect Ucok was not a member of the police. Ucok is a resident who happened to pass by the location.

“The person concerned is a member of the public who happened to be crossing the road when the chase occurred,” he said.

To the police, the two suspects admitted that they were annoyed because was grazed and hit by Steven.

“Until these two people were emotional and chased to help the police,” he said.
