Flamengo will have significant absences for the Copinha sequence
Flamengo announced, on Thursday night (11), that 12 players left the delegation competing in the Copinha. The athletes travel from Osasco to Rio de Janeiro to join the group that will play rounds of the professional Carioca Championship. Therefore, names like Lorran, Petterson and Werton are out of the under-20 tournament.

“Following the plan established between professional and grassroots football, 12 athletes return to Rio de Janeiro for two matches of the Campeonato Carioca, while the main team will be in the United States. Shortly after the victory over Audax-SP, in the last round of the group stage of the Copa São Paulo, the athletes were notified, along with coach Mário Jorge and five other members of the technical committee”, published the club, on the official website.
MISSINGS ON SATURDAY
Therefore, Flamengo will have a team full of absences next Saturday (13), when they will face Náutico-PE, in the first knockout stage of the Copinha. The ball rolls at 9:30 pm (Brasília time), again in Osasco, where Rubro-Negro played in the first phase. Mengão came first in Group 19, while the Pernambuco team was second in group 20.
BOYS IN CARIOCA
The 12 athletes will take the field for the Carioca Championship while the main group will play in the United States. Then, on the 21st and 27th of January, the ‘team of Cup‘ faces Nova Iguaçu and Portuguesa, in João Pessoa-PB and Natal-RN, respectively.
