Almost 50 active members and fire brigade members came to the annual meeting of the Pondorf fire brigade. Among other things, you could see the new fire department logo with the Bavaria beech in embroidered form.
Chairman Thomas Böhm held a minute’s silence for the members who died. Last year Johann Hundsdorfer, Josef Meyer, Ludwig Schmid, Martin Kolb and Georg Knitl were buried. In his activity report, Böhm listed a whole series of events that could take place again after the Corona period. Among other things, the fire brigade ball was held on Carnival Saturday. On April 22nd, several groups took the performance test in firefighting. As guests and helpers, they took part in the 90th anniversary celebration of the Pondorf rural youth. Shortly before the parade, the flag handle broke after a gust of wind. However, since we have a second flag, a replacement could be obtained in good time. At the sports club’s hiking day, the fire department sent 23 people on the route. A flag delegation took part in the church events and also ensured traffic security.
The website is being revised and should be completed shortly. The new fire department logo with the Bavaria beech is now also available in embroidered form for the fire department shirts and uniform jackets. The new logo will be used when ordering shirts in the future. An exchange is not possible here. For the uniform jackets, a date will be agreed upon when the new patches will be applied uniformly for the entire force.
Karl Schmidt’s cash report closed with a small minus. The five funerals, the purchase of new patches and the purchase of a drinks machine were major items on the expenditure side. The club still has a solid financial cushion. The number of members decreased slightly due to deaths and resignations. The Pondorfer Weir currently has 209 women and men.
At the end of the meeting, Thomas Böhm announced the upcoming dates. On January 27th, the exercise plans will be determined at the active meeting. The band Silver-Red will play at the fire brigade ball on February 10th. Mask awards and an estimation competition will be part of the program. The strong beer festival with the shooting club will take place on Saturday, March 23rd.
Böhm thanked the military members on behalf of the entire board for the good support. There are still problems with the flag delegations. The members should get more involved here, says Böhm.
Marco Brandl from the rural youth thanked the fire department for their support at the founding festival. Pilgrim leader Karl Schmidt thanked the vehicle for accompanying the Eichlberg pilgrimage and the spokeswoman for the parish council, Sieglinde Fuchs, thanked the fire department for supporting the church events.
