During her greetings to the press, the president of the Aix-Marseille-Provence Metropolis, Martine Vassal, announced the establishment of aid of 5,000 euros for the purchase of an electric car, for people who live within the perimeter of the Low Emission Mobility Zone (ZFE-m).
“This is a subject on which we have given a lot of thought: we are going to set up aid of 5,000 euros for the purchase of an electric vehicle for anyone who lives in the ZFE, or professionals domiciled in the zone” , announced the president of the Aix-Marseille Provence Metropolis, Martine Vassal, on Monday January 8, 2024 during her greetings to the press. This aid – which can be combined with national aid such as the conversion bonus or the ecological bonus – will be subject to resource conditions, but for the moment, the Metropolis has not given further details. To finance this aid, Martine Vassal “proposes creating a fund, in which we [la
Métropole, Ndlr], we provide 5,000 euros per vehicle. This will allow other institutions to be able to contribute.” If the municipalities or the Region respond to this call, the aid proposed could thus be more substantial.
The ZFE-m of the Aix-Marseille Provence Metropolis is located in the city center of Marseille and its perimeter is delimited by the interior of the boulevards: avenue du Cap Pinède, boulevards Capitaine Gèze, boulevard des Plombières, avenue Alexandre Fleming , boulevards François Duparc, Sakakini, Jean Moulin and Rabatau, avenue du Prado 2. In force since September 1, 2022, this ZFE-m today excludes Crit’Air 4, 5 and unclassified vehicles. From September 1, 2024, Crit’Air 3 vehicles will also be affected.
