Surviving in the Serengeti (2016) is a South African-Canadian film written and directed by Richard Boddington which tells the adventure of a couple of boys in the Serengeti, a large national park in Tanzania, Africa, and very famous for the annual migrations of thousands of wildebeests.

The film begins on what appears to be a simple vacation adventure of the Croft family to the interior of Africa.
However, a series of unexpected events separate siblings Emma and Ryan from Jennifer and Peter, their parents, after an unfortunate plane crash.
With the plane in pieces, Emma and Ryan are left to fend for themselves in the middle of the immense African savanna.
Fortunately, the children have the company of their dog, a cunning animal with which the group lives an authentic odyssey where survival skills are essential to protect themselves from the treacherous enemies of nature.
