Olympique d’Alès in Cévennes: New Recruits, Transfer Window, and Coupe de France Update

Olympique d’Alès in Cévennes presents its two new recruits from the winter transfer window, Tom Duponchelle and Franck Betra.

After the flight of Abdoulaye Diaby to Thonon Evian Grand Genève, the Alès club had to immediately replace the departure of their striker who arrived in July 2022. The leaders did not wait long to sign Franck Betra (27 years), scorer that they have been tracking since last July, coming from SR Colmar (N2). This real number nine, powerful and skillful, has played for many clubs before, in France (FC Rouen, US Luisitanos, Angoulème, FC Bobigny) but also abroad (Kosovo, Greece, England). The other recruit, announced this Tuesday, December 10, is that of Tom Duponchelle (27), a full-back trained in Amiens. After a trial last October in Alès, he was finally recruited by the club, given the numerous injuries and suspensions in this position.

Concerning the winter transfer window, according to general manager Philippe Mallaroni, “nothing is finished yet, one or two more recruits could complete the squad with a view to remaining in National 2”.

Close the Coupe de France chapter

The elimination in the 32nd final against Paris FC (1-2) on Saturday January 6 is now confirmed, and the players will now have to close this enchanted parenthesis to focus on the main objective of the season: maintaining.
