Vietnam’s national car company (Mobnas), VinFast will make its debut at the Indonesia International Motor Show or IIMS 2024 exhibition. As an introduction, they are presenting the VinFast VF5 electric car.
The VinFast VF5 electric car has previously been launched in Vietnam and several countries in Europe. These non-emission vehicles will most likely play in the beginner or entry level class.
Surachman Nugroho as Sales and Network Director of VinFast Indonesia claims that the VF5 will be priced quite affordable. In fact, the price is still the same as one of the most affordable electric cars in Indonesia, namely the Wuling Air ev.

In Vietnam, the VinFast VF5 is priced starting from 468 million dong or around IDR 290 million. It is not yet known for certain whether when sold in Indonesia the nominal value was higher or lower.
“VinFast’s entry into Indonesia will provide a new color and will also enliven the electrification market in Indonesia,” said Surachman Nugroho when met by media crew, quoted from Antara, Monday (8/1).
So, with its status as an entry level electric car, what are the specifications of the VinFast VF5?
VinFast VF5 Specifications
VinFast VF5 has dimensions of length 3,967 mm, width 1,723 mm and height 1,578 mm. The crossover-style vehicle can accommodate five passengers including the driver.
The VF5 is equipped with a 37.23 kwh lithium-ion battery which can travel 324 km when fully charged. Meanwhile, charging it from 10 to 70 percent only takes 30 minutes. Regarding performance, this quiet vehicle has a maximum power of 134 hp and a peak torque of 135 Nm.

Turning to features, the VinFast VF5 has been embedded with a number of smart features, for example digital instruments and virtual assistant voice control.
Apart from that, the manufacturer has also equipped it with driver assistance technology such as Basic Cruise Monitoring, Rear Traffic Warning, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Parking Assist and Emergency Brake Assist.
