Portuguese central defender will be a winter reinforcement for Massimiliano Allegri
Juventus beat competition from Inter Milan and Atlético Madrid and secured the signing of Tiago Djaló, a 23-year-old Portuguese central defender, who has been at Lille since August 2019. It will be the Portuguese international’s return to Italy, after the season 2018/19 having played for Milan, but for the Primavera team, without making his debut in the main team.
Remember that the left-handed defender has not played since last March, due to a serious knee injury, from which he has almost recovered.

According to Sky Sport, Tiago Djaló is expected in Turin next week, in order to complete medical examinations and sign a contract until 2028. Juventus will pay 3.5 million euros (lower than the market value, as the player finished contract with Lille at the end of the season), and the transfer could amount to €7M upon meeting objectives. The French club also safeguards the right to 10% of the value of a future Djaló transfer.
