GPS Signal Disturbance Observed in Baltic Sea Region During End-of-Year Holidays

At the end of December 2023, between Christmas and New Year’s Day, the GPS signal tracking website “Gpsjam.org” observed a GPS disturbance in the Baltic Sea region.

Signal disturbances were observed in Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Poland, Sweden and Russia.

The most disturbances in Estonia were on December 31. “Gpsjam.org” images show that widespread disturbances were observed near the eastern border of Estonia and in the south of the country. There were also significant GPS signal disturbances in Latvia and eastern Finland.

Johnson writes in “Apollo.lv”: “I believe that Russia is using a GPS jammer that affects a large number of aircraft in the South Baltic. It happens when it is turned on. It has been active since December 15, 2023.”
