Reading is a habit related to free time and enjoyment, so during the summer there are countless possibilities to practice it and encourage it in boys, girls and young people who have more time. Reading on the beach, in the shade of a tree, in the pool, on the terrace or in the river, calmly and without rushing, is a practice that can be instilled little by little. And the benefit is greater when it is associated with caring for the environment and sustainability.
In this sense, the Institute for Sustainable Development of Rafaela (IDSR) has been carrying out the campaign “Recycling emotions is also caring for the world” for 6 years, which receives books in good condition to exchange, recycle, reuse and promote reading habits in the citizenship.
All residents of the city who wish to bring the books they have already read or do not use and, in addition, take other titles free of charge, can come to Pasaje Carcabuey (local 2) from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. .
The books received are classified and subsequently placed in a mobile library that is located on the sidewalk so that other people can enjoy them. When there are many titles received, the IDSR is responsible for distributing them to different entities.
