Embrace All That You Are: Netflix Campaign Directed by Juan Cabral

“Who are you?”. That is the simple question that appears when we turn on Netflix and is the starting point of “Embrace all that you are”, the spot directed by Juan Cabral which tells the story of Norma, a woman who, after seeing the question on her television, begins to doubt who she really is.

“Am I the one who wakes up wanting to see Hungarian cinema or the one who doesn’t miss a single one of the films? realities of people cheating on each other on the beach?” These are some of the doubts that afflict Norma, the protagonist of this kaleidoscopic journey that, at first, seems to have no solution, but which ends with the acceptance that it is not just one person, but many. And nothing happens. It’s not unusual to like different things because we are all full of different emotions and personalities. And this is something we must accept and be proud of. Hence the climax of the advertisement is Norma’s embrace of all the different Normas.

“Filming with Juan is always a privilege. His vision of his concept and his way of telling the story contributed a lot to the project, as usually happens every time we get together,” says Pancho Cassis, partner and global creative director of DAVID.

The campaign has been produced by MJZ and directed by Juan Cabral, creator of some of the most important advertisements in the history of advertising, such as Cadbury’s “Gorilla” or Sony’s “Balls,” among many others. In addition, the direction of photography has been in the hands of Javier Juliá, known for films such as “Argentina 1985” or the also acclaimed “Relatos Salvajes”.

“That the entire campaign comes from something as characteristic of Netflix as the question of Who are you? It is something that we fell in love with from the beginning. “Those infinite contradictory personalities that we all have inside are the perfect excuse to talk about the infinite amount of interesting content that the platform has”adds Saulo Rocha, executive creative director of DAVID Madrid.

The spot will premiere on television this January 8, and will be the starting point of “Embrace everything you are”, the new Netflix campaign in which it tells us about human contradictions and the role of the platform as a remedy for these. contradictions, since its variety of content is capable of satisfying each and every one of the personalities within us.
