This is Felipe’s film debut, as is his screen partner Martirosiana.
As Felipe reveals to “Kas Jauns” publication, the offer to participate in this film, which was shot in a month and a half a couple of years ago in Vilnius, was a surprise and at first he did not even respond to the producers’ call due to his busyness, as he did not know that it was the main role.
“But then the approximate fee was written to me, I thought – wow, it won’t be a small, simple role, but something serious,” Felipe tells the publication. He received about 10,000 euros as a fee for playing the groom Francois.
“They had heard that I was very popular in Latvia, that I was a local celebrity and that I spoke Latvian. And if I have learned to speak Latvian, then I will have no problem learning the Lithuanian language within a month. Yes, that’s what happened. I studied Lithuanian every day to get the main role. No one is dubbing me in the film, you can hear my voice,” says Felipe.
On the other hand, regarding the collaboration with the Lithuanian actress Gabriela Martirosianus, the Brazilian tells the magazine: “Gabriela was very nice and it was cool to play with her. I almost fell in love with him for real.”

In the movie “The Imported Groom” the future father-in-law is against his daughter’s choice and tries to dissuade his daughter from marriage. When words do not help, he resorts to other methods – on the advice of a neighbor, the family of the future wife decides to introduce the Frenchman to local customs. The groom has to go through the tests prepared by the future father-in-law.
Well-known Lithuanian actors will return to the audience in the comedy, including Mindaugas Capas, Vitalija Mockevičiūtė, Inga Norkutė, Vaidotas Martinaitis, Rafailas Karpis, Ainis Storpirštis Storfistis).
The screenplay of the film is also written by Augustīns Gricius, Mykola Kutsyk, Oleksii Prykhodko. Producers – Žilvinas Naujokas (Žilvinas Naujokas), Ričards Marcinks (Ričardas Marcinkus).
