Algerian National Coach Belmadi: “Players Ready for African Cup of Nations Despite Climatic Challenges”

The national coach, Djamel Belmadi, affirmed, in a statement made on public television and broadcast today, Tuesday January 9, 2024, that “the group found in Togo what it was looking for”, namely “adapt to the climatic conditions of the region. “90% of the players come from the European continent where it is 0 to 5°,” he said.

The Algerian selection will fly tomorrow, Wednesday, to Ivory Coast. The first match of the “Greens” during this CAN 2023 is scheduled for January 15 against Angola. The African Cup will kick off on January 13.
