Since opening in October 2007, Messe Stuttgart and the ICS International Congress Center Stuttgart have been pioneering with their sustainable commitment. Their central concern is the careful use of resources and responsible action.
This awareness is reflected in its actions: Messe Stuttgart uses CO₂-neutral electricity and continually invests in reduction measures and offsetting remaining emissions through internationally recognized climate protection projects. Back in 2010, Messe Stuttgart set a groundbreaking standard for the industry with the “Green Steps”. In the years that followed, she signed the event industry’s “fairpflichtet” sustainability code as well as the KLIMAWIN Charter, formerly the WIN Charter, for the sustainable economy of the state of Baden-Württemberg.
Sustainability Prize 2024
In 2023, Messe Stuttgart won the German Sustainability Prize. The German Sustainability Prize honors companies that are particularly successful in meeting ecological and social challenges with their products and services and thus use sustainability as an economic opportunity. The honor is a confirmation of Messe Stuttgart’s sustainable self-image and a motivation for future action.
