ASUS Unveils ‘BTF Solution’ Ecosystem with Motherboard, Case, and Graphics Card

Motherboard, case, and graphics card containing ‘BTF solution’ unveiled

ASUS introduced an ecosystem product line that applied the ‘BTF (Back to the Future) solution’, a pre-organized design.

The BTF solution is a line organization method that arranges and arranges all cables connected to the motherboard, such as power supply, SATA, fan, and I/O ports, to the back of the motherboard when the BTF motherboard and BTF graphics card are transplanted into the BTF case. The BTF ecosystem unveiled this time is a total of six products consisting of motherboards, cases, and graphics cards. Asus’ biggest feature of this BTF ecosystem is a motherboard and graphics card that is equipped with a separate high-power slot and does not require a PCIe power connector.

First, there are two new BTF motherboard products in the BTF ecosystem: ROG Maximus Z790 Hero BTF and TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi. Both products are equipped with a high-power slot that directly supplies power to the BTF graphics card.

ROG Maximus Z790 Hero BTF is a successor model to the existing ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero, and inherits the color and VRM heat sink design. Here, polymer lighting is provided on the I/O shroud. In addition, the voltage regulator module adopts 20+1+2 power stages, which provides the basis for utilizing top-level Intel CPUs. Each power stage has a built-in rated output of up to 90 amps, increasing power flexibility to the load.

Next, TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi was equipped with a black PCB, white shroud, and heat sink to create a differentiated color. In particular, the M.2 heat sink was expanded by placing a line on the back of the motherboard through the BTF solution. The power stage is said to have a 16+1+1 design and is comprised of a 6-layer PCB, ProCool sockets, alloy chokes and capacitors to provide an improved power solution.

The new BTF cases that followed were ROG Hyperion GR701 BTF Edition and TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB. ROG Hyperion GR701 BTF Edition is the BTF version of the high-end case ROG Hyperion GR701. It retains the existing premium features and is designed with features that provide a layout for BTF motherboards. It can be equipped with dual 420mm radiators, four 140mm air cooling fans, and a built-in fan hub.

Another BTF case, TUF Gaming GT302 ARGB, demonstrates optimal synergy with TUF Gaming Z790-BTF WiFi. It is equipped with four 140mm ARGB air cooling fans as standard and supports AIO water cooling solution. In addition, the entire top panel is removable, so the radiator can be attached or removed to suit the user.

Lastly, the graphics cards to which the BTF solution has been ported are ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4090 BTF Edition and TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER BTF White Edition. These two products are equipped with a PCIe high-power connector of up to 600W, so they can be used as is by simply installing them on a BTF motherboard.
