“Currently, rescue operations are still ongoing in three regions of Ukraine after attacks by the Russian army: Donetsk, Kherson, Khmelnytsky regions,” the statement says.
The President added that this morning, unfortunately, again began with a massive rocket attack, and he expressed gratitude to all rescuers, police and utility workers.
“Kharkov and the region, Zaporozhye, Krivoy Rog, Khmelnitsky region. 45 people were injured, and as of this time four are known to have died. My condolences to the family and friends. The terrorist state will certainly feel our response,” the president said.

Explosions occurred in Dnieper, Kharkov, Zaporozhye, and air defense was active in the Khmelnitsky region. Krivoy Rog found itself under a massive missile attack. In Kharkov, the Russian Federation shelled industrial facilities.
Earlier, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Alexei Kuleba stated that 34 people were injured due to the Russian strike.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported that Russian terrorists attacked Ukraine at night and in the morning of January 8 with Shahed kamikaze drones and more than 50 missiles of various types. Air defense forces managed to destroy 26 hostile targets.
