Rafic Hariri International Airport Hack: Messages Attacking Hezbollah Cause Chaos

The electronic departure and arrival boards at Rafic Hariri International Airport in Beirut were hacked, and phrases attacking Hezbollah were published.

The official National News Agency said: The screens have been subject to electronic hacking for some time, and the matter has been addressed.

The hacking messages warned Hezbollah and its Secretary General, Hassan Nasrallah, against dragging Lebanon into war, and stated: “In the name of God and the people, Rafik Hariri Airport is not the airport of Hezbollah and Iran. O Hassan Nasrallah, you will not find a supporter if Lebanon is afflicted in a war for which you bear responsibility.” And its consequences.”

The message called for “liberating the airport from the grip of the state,” as it described it, and meant Hezbollah. She added: “You bombed our port and want to fly our airport because of the introduction of weapons.”

The hack caused the baggage inspection system to malfunction, and the airport authorities implemented an alternative plan, in order to keep movement normal.

The Army Intelligence Directorate and the Information Division of the Internal Security Forces began investigating who carried out the hacking.
