The Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS) in Colima announced in a statement that it achieved the first proxy multi-organic at the beginning of the year 2024 and it was at the Zona General Hospital (HGZ) No. 1 in Villa de Álvarez, Colima.

He explained that, after confirming the diagnosis clinically and through imaging, the family agreed to donate corneas, kidneys, liver and musculoskeletal tissue.
Dr. Gabriela Alejandra Araoz Ubaldo, Hospital Donation Coordinator Organs y Fabrics For Transplant purposes of HGZ No. 1, it mentioned that the organs and tissues were transferred to Jalisco and the State of Mexico, to benefit 95 patients on the waiting list.
