Porsgrunn Electricity Outage: Over 900 Affected, Lede Working to Resolve Issue

Updated: At 5.40pm the outage map showed that the number of affected customers had risen to 974. At 6pm it was down to 572.

On Lede’s outage map, it is shown at 17.12 that several hundred customers are now without electricity in Porsgrunn. The areas Enger and Nyhusåsen are particularly affected.

Press contact in Lede, Thor Bjørn Omnes, informs TA that they are working hard to find and correct the error.

He says that it is probably a cable fault, but that this has not yet been located.

– I see that some of them have got the electricity back now, but I dare not predict how long it will take before everything is fixed. There is a high load on the cables now, says Omnes.

The manager states that the breach was registered at 16.19. Troubleshooting is now underway to find out what caused the breach.

The article is updated.
