Turkish Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 fleet grounded for inspections; UK, China, and India also take action

In Turkey, Turkish Airlines has five Boeing 737 Max 9s in its fleet. This is now grounding the company for the time being until they have been thoroughly inspected.

There are no Boeing 737 Max 9s registered in the United Kingdom. The aviation authorities have written to non-British airlines seeking information about inspections. These must be carried out before those airlines are allowed to fly over or in British airspace.

There are also no Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft registered in China and India.

According to data from aircraft manufacturer Boeing, 218 aircraft have already been delivered. Most of them fly around the United States and Mexico.
