Russian Student in Edinburgh Alleges Bullying and Discrimination Over SVO Support

Russian student Andrei Komarov studying in Edinburgh (Scotland) complained of bullying from other students. The details of what happened were reported by RIA Novosti – the young man linked the negative sentiment towards him with the fact that he supports the SVO.

According to Andrei Komarov, he experiences bullying both in real life and on social networks. A student from Russia is confident that the Ukrainian community, also studying at the same university, is responsible for what is happening.

“For example, [глава сообщества] claimed that I hated gays or called for violence. As a result, their community wrote an open letter to the university demanding that they “remove” me from the university, since I and students with an opinion similar to mine are a danger to Ukrainians,” the Russian said.

Komarov also clarified that the leadership of the University of Edinburgh was inactive all this time, although, according to the laws of Scotland, any bullying is a crime.
