Israeli media revealed that the killing of the female soldier and the wounding of soldiers by an explosive device in Jenin, at dawn on Sunday, were the result of a “double ambush.”
The Hebrew “Kan” channel quoted an Israeli security source as saying, “It was a double ambush in Jenin. The Israeli force was subjected to a bomb explosion, and when it turned to withdraw, another bomb exploded.”
Earlier, Sunday, the Israeli police announced the killing of one of its members during a raid carried out in Jenin in the occupied West Bank.
She said that the victim “was in an operational vehicle that was exposed to the explosion of an explosive device,” according to Agence France-Presse.
The Israeli police indicated that the explosion resulted in the injury of 3 other members.
This was preceded by the Israeli army announcing that 4 soldiers were injured, including 2 in critical condition, after they were injured by the explosion of an explosive device.
The Israeli army said that during the night operation in Jenin, “fighters were injured after stepping on a powerful explosive device.
