Artist Ali Al-Duwayan Discusses Netflix Movie ‘Camel’ and Audience Reactions

Al-Marsad newspaper: Artist Ali Al-Duwayan spoke about the movie “Camel,” which began showing on the Netflix platform on December 7, 2023.

Al-Duwayan said in an interview with Al-Ikhbariya channel that the film’s audience was divided into two groups: there were those who understood it and others who did not understand it, such as the simple group.

He described the film as a different school of script and direction, citing the opinion of one of the critics who said that people will not understand the film “Nakala” until after 3 or 4 years, when cinema becomes more integrated into the culture of the Saudi viewer.

He added that the film was ahead of its time because we were at the beginning of cinema in Saudi Arabia. According to him.

It is noteworthy that the movie “Camel” was written and directed by Meshal Al-Jasser, starring Adwaa Badr and Yazid Al-Majoul, and its events revolve around a girl who is stranded after attending a secret party, and finds herself forced to confront a raging camel, and something worse than her, so that she can return.
