One person was killed and several injured when a Canadian tour bus traveling from Montreal to New York City overturned. yesterday afternoon on Highway I-87.
The bus carrying 23 people came to rest on its side on the Adirondack Northway in the town of Lake George shortly before 1 pm on Friday, according to the New York State Police (NYSP). The southbound highway remained closed between exits 23 and 22 hours later of the accident “to allow first responders to do their job,” informed the Governor Kathy Hochul.

The vehicle carried the FlixBus logo, but another company operated the bus in its name. State police identified her as Skyway Coach Lines.
“At all times, the safety of passengers and drivers is of utmost importance to FlixBus,” the company said in a statement. “We are shocked and saddened by this incident, and our thoughts and sympathies are with all those involved, as well as their families. “We are working right now to provide our full support to the passengers and driver affected by this accident.”
