1. Dark circles appear under the eyes
This effect may be familiar. Yes, panda eyes occur due to damage to collagen in facial skin which functions to keep the skin elastic. As a result, the skin sags and causes a blackening effect around the eyelids.
2. Accelerate skin aging
When sleeping at night, blood flow in the skin reaches its peak. That way, damaged skin cells, for example due to sun exposure, can be repaired and collagen production increases. However, when you don’t get enough sleep, your body doesn’t have the opportunity to do its job.
3. The skin becomes dry
Frequently staying up late can lower the skin’s pH level and cause the skin to lose a lot of fluids. Various studies also show that skin moisture levels will decrease with lack of sleep each night.
