Vice Presidential Candidate Number 2 Gibran Rakabuming Raka met with Gus and Ning from various Islamic boarding schools throughout Java. The meeting was relaxed and preceded by playing futsal entitled Fun Futsal Sarungan Bareng Samsul.
The meeting took place with the gus and ning held in Cirebon City. Dozens of gus and ning were present, including those from Buntet Pesantren Cirebon.
Mas Gibran and the Gus play futsal. What was interesting and attracted attention was that Gibran wore a jersey with the last name Samsul and number 2. Gibran scored two goals in that match.
After futsal, while sitting cross-legged on the futsal field, Gibran and the gus had a dialogue. Gibran said he was very happy to be able to play futsal with the Gus.
“Thank you, this is refreshing amidst the hustle and bustle of tiring campaign politics. Today is quite enjoyable,” said Gibran, in a written statement, Saturday (6/1/2024).
Gibran also expressed his thanks to the Gus who were willing to take the time and pray for him. According to Gibran, he and presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto want to see a transformation in Islamic boarding schools in the future.
“This boarding school network is truly extraordinary, the students, the alumni, are extraordinary. So the demographic bonus must be utilized well, the students must not miss out on the journey towards a Golden Indonesia 2045,” said Gibran.
He asked the gus to oversee Prabowo-Gibran’s programs, one of which is the Islamic Boarding School Endowment Fund, transformation of Islamic boarding schools, transformation of Islamic boarding schools 5.0.
“I want young people to take on roles by working hard. Guess, everyone present here is technologically literate, that is the main capital,” he concluded.
