▲[신간도서 출간] Invention class in space
[에너지경제신문 여헌우 기자] The second book in the ‘Children’s Invention Class’ series has been released.
Space exploration is something that countries all over the world are risking their lives to do. Now, a new space era has opened with global companies, led by Elon Musk’s SpaceX, jumping into space development. How should we introduce space to our children, who will leave Earth and live in space?
The new book ‘Invention Class in Space’ is full of stories that will captivate not only space geeks but also children who are not interested in space, from observing the night sky to space exploration, from alien life forms to space debris.
Humanity has imagined and dreamed of space for a very long time. They looked at the stars to find their way, predicted the future with constellations, and made wishes by relying on the mysterious power of the sky. Now, humanity is taking steps toward the universe that we have dreamed of for so long.
But what does the distant universe have to do with me today? As we learn more about the universe, we can improve our lives. Thanks to the satellites launched over the past few decades, we can use navigation and predict the weather and atmosphere. Inventions made for astronauts have made our lives more convenient. These include frozen food, air cushioned sneakers, smartphone cameras, ear thermometers, and memory foam mattresses.
The universe is ultimately the way to solve our problems and improve our lives. This is why today’s children, who will live in space, need to become familiar with space.
They come up with ideas to help astronauts, come up with great plans to explore Mars, and even meet alien life forms. What’s special about this book is that it doesn’t just stop at conveying knowledge about the universe, but also lets you imagine and dream about life in space.
Space exploration and understanding will play a very important role for future generations. The universe is a realm of endless exploration and discovery. As children explore and understand the universe, their scientific curiosity, spirit of inquiry, creativity, and problem-solving skills will grow. This is considered a very important capability that the future space generation must have.
‘Invention Class in Space’ is expected to not only foster curiosity and imagination about space, but also serve as an exciting guide for children who will learn, imagine, and create the past, present, and future of humanity.
