Visual artist Hilde Trip is the winner of the Culture Prize 2023. Bouke has been named Emmenaar of the Year 2023. They received the prize on Friday, January 5, during the New Year’s party of the municipality of Emmen.
Natural art
Hilde Trip is a visual artist. She calls her work ‘Natural art’. Hilde Trip is inspired by the shapes and wealth of colors of nature. She collects seeds, leaves, feathers, tree bark and grasses and processes them into wall objects. Her work stands out. Magazines such as Happinez Magazine, Eden Magazine and Floral Design have paid attention to her. Her work can also be seen through galleries in the Netherlands, Germany, France and England. The jury nominated Hilde for her special visual compositions of flowers and other natural elements that she finds in nature.
Culture Prize 2023
Every year the municipality of Emmen awards the Emmen Culture Prize. This award is intended for residents of the municipality who have shown themselves in the cultural field in the past year. This year there were 56 unique registrations from which 4 nominees were selected. In addition to Hilde Trip, author Rob Stoker, artist Màvcase and artist Bouke were also nominated.
Emmen of the Year
Bouke Scholten can call himself ‘Emmenaar of the Year’. Southeast Drenthe has cherished him for many years as one of its main musical figureheads, the singer from Emmen with his beautiful voice. Bouke Scholten grew up in a musical family and it was soon discovered that he had a golden voice. But after winning SBS6’s The Tribute, Battle of the Bands, he also gained a lot of national fame.
