DB: Regarding negotiations, it is too early for announcements
A turning of the management roulette, new consultations with President Rumen Radev and a mandate for GERB – this is the scenario according to which the rotation of prime ministers agreed for March between Academician Nikolay Denkov and Maria Gabriel will take place.
Although there is no express agreement between GERB and PP-DB that the transfer of power will take place in this way, the texts in the constitution assume it. In the basic law, the innovation that the (non-)coalition partners made for joint governance is not spelled out.

Academician Denkov must resign to the entire cabinet
and that it be voted on in the National Assembly.
This is expected to happen in the first week of March – on 6.03. the nine months that were allotted to manage the initial composition of the cabinet led by the prime minister of the PP-DB expire. Then the roulette starts according to the familiar rules – the president starts political consultations with the parliamentary forces and then hands the first mandate to the largest of them.
GERB was categorical to “24 Chasa” that if the mandate is not for them, then there is no rotation. And they remind that there is no agreement with PP-DB and that the second government of the (non)coalition should again be with the mandate of the second largest parliamentary force, it is most reasonable that it should be with that of the first one, which also broadcasts the prime minister in the person of Gabriel. GERB has already submitted a request for a change of ministers.

– Finance Minister Asen Vasilev, commented unofficially high-ranking figures in GERB.
It is a matter of negotiation whose mandate will form the government after the rotation in March, the co-chairman of “Democratic Bulgaria” Hristo Ivanov commented to BTA. Talks about that haven’t been held yet.
“I can assure you that anyone who makes an announcement in one direction or the other is talking in vain.

It is yet to come and it will be decided in the context of all the other issues related to the rotation,” the DB leader said.
According to him, the two months that remain until the deadline for the election is a very political time, therefore the announcements about mandates are too early.
And the first hesitation as to whether he will remain in the government, if it is already with the mandate of GERB, came from Sports Minister Dimitar Iliev.
Boyko Borisov publicly demanded his resignation in mid-November – after the pogrom in the center of Sofia during the protest against the head of the Federal Security Service Borislav Mihailov. Then the leader of GERB defended Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov, whom Prime Minister Denkov accused of beating fans and random citizens, and directed the attack on sports. He also blamed the newly inaugurated mayor of Sofia, Vasil Terziev, for the disturbances caused by the football agitations. The same was done by the current head of the PG of the DPS, Delyan Peevski.

“The Minister of Sports should resign immediately because he was exacerbating the situation in recent days,” Borisov said at the time.
“A statement by a political leader who strives to please his voters” – this is how Iliev commented on his words today.
“I wouldn’t feel comfortable as a minister in the GERB cabinet. At the time, I voted for GERB, but they did not justify my trust,” the sports boss also revealed in an interview with BNT on Friday. At the same time, he called speculations about changes in the composition of the cabinet after the rotation.
He further announced that they

and preparations for the Olympics are currently underway.
However, GERB has already given a clear request to replace at least 3 ministers.
