Former AIK forward Bojan Radulovic, who belonged to the Allsvenskan big club between the summer of 2020 and the summer of 2022, has in recent seasons played with the Finnish champion club HJK, and has done well in the Veikkausliiga.
Radulovic has thus attracted interest, and on Friday it is clear that the 24-year-old is leaving HJK for Huddersfield in the English Championship. The contract is written over three and a half years until the summer of 2027.
– A forward in Bojan’s profile is something that we really wanted to have in the squad. I am very pleased that he has signed a long-term contract with the club, says Huddersfield head coach Darren Moore on the club’s website.
Radulovic thus left AIK for HJK in the summer of 2022, but was also on loan at the Finnish club between the winter and summer of 2022. Overall, he scored 36 goals in 78 games with HJK, as well as three goals in 30 games with AIK.
When Radulovic left AIK announced to the club that the transfer ended up in class I (0-2,500,000 kroner) in terms of net profit effect of a player sale.
After Friday’s deal, AIK’s CEO/club director Fredrik Söderberg says that “Gnaget” receives money via a resale clause. However, he does not want to reveal how much.
– Yes, we have a resale clause, so we get a little in, but I can’t tell you exactly what the agreement looks like or what it is about. It will be seen in our reports, says Söderberg to Fotbollskanalen.
Is it a significant addition to you?
– All money we receive via resale is of course always welcome.
What do you think of Radulovic’s move?
– It’s great fun for Bojan, as he’s a nice guy. I wish him all the best as a footballer, and it’s great that he has taken this step.
Huddersfield is currently on fire in the Championship, as the club is in 21st place with 25 points after 26 rounds played in the league. On Sunday, Huddersfield face Manchester City away in the third round of the FA Cup.
