Trinitarios Gang Members Accused of Leading Violence and Homicide in Queens, NYC in 2022

Amaury Guzmán, Jonathan Rodríguez, Ian Diez and Ruffi Fernández, alleged members of the Dominican gang Trinitarios, have been accused of leading violence and death on the streets of Queens (NYC), committing several shootings, car thefts and a homicide in 2022, the feds alleged.

Guzmán and Rodríguez are accused of homicide of young Tao Wu (25), who was shot during a failed robbery of his BMW car on 37th Street near Parsons Blvd. in Flushing on November 20, 2022.

Guzmán, Rodríguez and others allegedly stole a Mercedes-Benz sedan in a driveway in Carteret, New Jersey, and then drove to New York, where they found Wu sitting in a BMW 440 coupe parked about a mile away from his car. home, prosecutors allege. The violence continued for months. Authorities caught Rodriguez in late 2022 and Guzman last February, when they linked him to an iPhone found at the scene of Wu’s robbery and car accident.

Diez and Fernandez were arrested by the feds in June 2023. All charges are mere accusations and those charged are presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.

The Trinitarios gang is linked to brutal crimes in New Yorkincluding the death by machetes of fifteen-year-old Lesandro “Junior” Guzmán Feliz in the Bronx in 2018.
