The price of gold fell today, Friday, in Egypt at the beginning of trading, and the price of a gram fell by 25 pounds, compared to its level yesterday, according to what Naguib Naguib, former Secretary General of the Gold Division, at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, told Masrawy.
The price of a gram of gold fell by 20 pounds at the beginning of trading, before jumping in the middle of trading.
Gold prices today
14-karat gold prices fell to 2,117 pounds per gram.
The price of 18 karat gold fell to 2721 pounds per gram.
The price of 21 carat gold fell to 3175 pounds per gram.
The price of 24 karat gold fell to 3629 pounds per gram.
The price of the gold pound
The price of the gold pound fell to 25,400 pounds. The price may vary from one merchant to another, and this price is equal to the value of gold in the pound.
Gold price globally
The price of gold globally declined to about $2,042 per ounce (an ounce is equivalent to about 31.1 grams of 24 karat), in the latest trading update, with a decline of 0.04%, according to Bloomberg data.
