Bobo-Dioulasso: The first baby of 2024 at the CMA in Dafra

The first baby of 2024 came into the world on Sunday, December 31 at 12:00 a.m. at the CMA in Dafra. Male, he weighs a little more than 2 kilograms.

The presence of the President of the Special Delegation of the commune of Bobo-Dioulasso, Laurent K. KONTOGOM, followed an old tradition which requires the first municipal authority to go to a health center with arms full of gifts to visit to the first newborn. “This action is a tradition at the level of the Commune and this year, it was a good idea for us to come visit the child and encourage the new family and the nursing staff,” declared PDS Laurent Kontogom at the end of the his visit. New mother Sawadogo Aminata was delighted with the visit from the town’s PDS. She indicated that this gesture relieves the family in taking care of the new baby. For the occasion, the Dafra health district also benefited from health kits which will help improve the quality of patient care.
