MUSICMåneskin is going to take an indefinite break. The four members of the Italian rock band will use that time to work on solo projects. Singer Damiano David (24) is currently working on his own album. This was announced by the Italian weekly magazine ‘Chi’.
Damiano David’s upcoming album is said to feature several collaborations with international artists. It is not yet known when the new music will be released into the world. According to the weekly magazine ‘Chi’, the Måneskin singer is working hard on it. While Damiano goes into the studio, Victoria De Angelis (23) – bassist of the group – would tour as a DJ and bassist at various clubs. Nothing is yet known about the solo plans of guitarist Thomas Raggi (22) and drummer Ethan Torchio (23).
At the end of last year there was already speculation about a possible break from the Italian rock band. This was due to some statements made by the Måneskin frontman. On ‘The Allison Hagendorf Show’, Damiano was asked whether he would ever consider doing a solo project. He then replied: “Why not? I think it can be something very healthy and something destructive. The only thing that matters is how the band feels about it. I owe everything to them.”

In 2021, the four Italian rockers were crowned the winners of the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest in Rotterdam. Since then, Måneskin has been traveling the world with sold-out shows and the rock group has conquered the international charts with earworms such as ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’ and ‘Supermodel’. Damiano David, Victoria De Angelis, Thomas Raggi and Ethan Torchio have barely taken a break in the past two hectic years. Last month their ‘Rush! World Tour’ – which stopped in Europe, America and Asia – to an end. That seems like the signal to take a break.
Although the members will mainly focus on their solo projects in the coming months, they will appear at a few festivals this summer. Måneskin has already been announced as a headliner for Rock Werchter. They will be on the main stage of the popular music festival on Friday, July 5, 2024.
