Local Business Leaders Gather for “Breakfast for Businesses” and Discuss Job Creation in Béragne Area

A business breakfast enjoyed by the 130 business leaders present who were able to exchange ideas with each other but also meet the City’s many partners who support them in various initiatives.

Destination the Béragne area: the location chosen for this event was highly symbolic.

Chocolaterie Nougalet, the first company to set up in the Béragne area, hosted this friendly event in the person of Éric Monterrat, its manager. Guests who could see two other companies emerging from the ground, not far away, having chosen to set up in the Béragne area.

Job creation

On the left, towards the Nougalet company, L’Occitane Fruits, owned by the Le Saint network, an independent food distribution group, opened at the end of 2023.

L’Occitane Fruits has 4,000 m2 of warehouse space and 800 m2 of offices for two entities: L’Occitane Fruits and Société Rigaill, specializing in seafood products. It has 65 employees. Régis Géléoc, director of the site, plans to create jobs in the coming months depending on the development of his company’s economic activity.

10,000 tonnes of local fruits and vegetables pass through this place each year, destined for professionals mainly from Aude and neighboring departments.

On the right, towards the Nougalet company: AS La Manufacture is finishing its installation. The AS group, created by Alex Signoles, founding president in 2000, is investing in a new production site for its La Manufacture workshop. 7,000 m2 will accommodate 350 employees at the start of 2024.

Workshops in which trunks, luggage and leather goods will be manufactured for a large luxury house, the Parisian house Goyard, taken over by Jean-Michel Signoles in 1998.
