Today, Thursday, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, expressed his strong rejection and denunciation of the statements of the two Israeli ministers calling for the resettlement of Palestinians outside the Gaza Strip.
Al-Budaiwi said that these statements issued reflect Israel’s negative and hostile intentions towards the peace process in the Middle East, and represent a threat to the stability of the region and an obstacle to efforts to achieve peace, and that these statements are considered a dangerous escalation that may lead to increasing regional tensions, according to what was reported by the Saudi Press Agency ( SPA).
Al-Budaiwi stressed the need for the international community to work collectively to preserve the chances for peace in the region to find a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue, and to stop such irresponsible and inflammatory statements that will lead to inflaming the situation in the region, stressing the firm and committed position of the GCC countries towards the Palestinian issue, and supporting For the rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, to establish an independent Palestinian state with full sovereignty over the lands occupied in 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
In turn, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s denunciation and categorical rejection of statements by officials in the Israeli occupation authority calling for the resettlement of Palestinians outside the Gaza Strip.
In a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency on Thursday, the Ministry once again warned of the intentions of the Israeli occupation authority, which have become clearly visible and leave no doubt about the Israeli plans to displace the residents of the Gaza Strip in particular and the brotherly Palestinian people in general from their homeland, stressing that these statements violate international law and resolutions.
