Microsoft has just announced that the next computers with the Windows operating system will be launched with a new key dedicated to Copilot, the technology company’s new Artificial Intelligence (AI) assistant.
With this new keyboard shortcut, users will be able to interact and have text conversations with Copilot. Microsoft’s new tool uses OpenAI’s generative AI models, such as ChatGPT.
This change to computer keyboards is one of the most significant additions to computers since 1994, when the Windows key was added to computers.
According to news from CNBC, Microsoft currently obtains around 10% of its revenues through the Windows operating system, a share that is currently not as significant as it once was. Computers with the new Copilot key should be presented next week at CES in Las Vegas.
