We present to the public’s information and attention the letter we sent to Demirören Media TV Group President, Mr. Murat Yancı, regarding the allegations made by the person named Abdülkadir Selvi on CNN Türk screens.

We are reaching out to you to share the discomfort we feel about an issue. In the context of the subject of our letter; “You are the Group President”, which was broadcast on CNN Türk on January 1, 2024, moderated by Fulya Öztürk.Circle of MindIn the program called “, a claim was made by Abdülkadir Selvi.
The claim of the person concerned; Our President Ali Y. Koç wants the Super Cup match to be played in Saudi Arabia.
In the official statement made on the issue on November 29, 2023, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) stated that the project and authority to play the Turkcell Super Cup abroad belongs to the TFF, and that the claim that the idea of playing the match in Saudi Arabia belongs to Mr. Ali Koç is true. He has shared with the public that he has nothing to do with it.
We share the relevant statement in the attachment.
Although there was an official statement on the subject and we shared this statement with CNN Turk officials through many correspondences during the program, manipulative discourses about our President Ali Y. Koç continued to be put forward in a broadcast watched by millions, and these false claims continued to take place in the lower band.
These statements of the mentioned commentator have no meaning other than unfair accusations and imputations.
This attitude and approach seriously disturbed our Club and the Fenerbahçe fans who followed the broadcast. As a matter of fact, this discomfort was also reflected in social media channels.
We kindly request that CNN Turk, which is one of the channels that reach millions with its broadcasts in our country and also carries the unrealistic claims of the relevant person on its screens, make the necessary corrections in line with this sensitivity of our Club.
