Once upon a time, star sisters Ambika and Radha were the hottest heroines of South India. Ambika is still in films but Radha is busy with her business ventures. Radha alias Udaya Chandrika is the owner and executive director of the luxury hotel chain Uday Samudra Group of Hotels.
Radha openly says that she loved to earn money right from her childhood and started making post office deposits at a very young age. Radha revealed these things to anchor, friend and actress Radhika when she came as a guest on KBC Tamil.
“Money is important to everyone. I also like it a lot. It has been like that since childhood. I had a big idea to earn. I started depositing money in the post office when I was in the fifth grade. I would save everything I got, starting from 5 rupees, 10 rupees. I would save all the money I got as a fortune teller and take it to the post office. So I saved around Rs 3000 that day, that too 25 years ago,” says Radha.
Radha says that the life and end of actresses are often tragic and she always wished that she would never be penniless.
Along with a restaurant chain in Kovalam and Mumbai, Radha also owns a production studio. Radha is also active in RR Travels in Mumbai, apart from her major involvement in UDS Group.
