Compared to 2022, sales in December increased by 53%, and compared to the previous month increased by 9%. As before, Toyota held the leadership in the market, selling 972 units, Renault was in second place (678 units), Skoda was third – 600 units.
In total, almost 61 thousand new passenger cars were registered in the country for the whole of 2023, which is 60.6% more than in the previous year.
Among the most popular brands among Ukrainians it is worth noting Toyota, Renault, Volkswagen, Skoda, BMW, Hyundai and Mercedes-Benz.
The best-selling car on the Ukrainian market last year was the compact crossover Renault Duster – 5,445 cars of this model joined the domestic vehicle fleet in 2023.
It is worth noting that the ten most popular models among Ukrainians formed more than a third of the market for new passenger cars. Unlike 2022, an electric car appeared in the TOP 10 and sedans returned; in the previous year, the top ten were formed exclusively by crossovers.
