One man’s attempt to close his eyes a little while traveling left TikTok viewers confused. Natalie Bright recorded a video of her dad falling asleep in a rather unusual sleeping position, with the caption: “Flying economy class for 15 hours? No big deal.” You can view it on the website Ladbible
Natalie’s viral video has received more than 12 million views and 600,000 likes, but viewers are divided over how her dad slept.
One TikTok user wrote: “Clever but I’d put a blanket underneath.” Another person commented: “This is really wild… These carpets are unclean.” Another user wrote: “Gurllll tell him to get up, it’s as bad as hospital floors.”
And the flight attendant even thought to protect users from following his example. “The crew is here… It’s not allowed because if you had a quick decompression, the oxygen mask wouldn’t reach you and there wouldn’t be a seat belt.”
And another TikTok video recently sparked another flight-related controversy when a woman accused the passenger behind her of “pushing her seat” throughout the flight.
“The whole ride he was pushing my seat. You saw it. You know he did it,” she screams in the clip.
The video soon spread like wildfire, with social media users debating whether it was appropriate to throw the seat back during a flight.
Many say the woman had every right to recline her seat. “If she wasn’t allowed to put her seat back, then why is the seat adjustable?” the user added.
Another person commented: “They add the seat recline button for a reason. It actually cost the airline extra money to provide this feature so it’s meant to be used.”
However, people’s opinions differed. One user wrote: “I wouldn’t rule it out because it’s definitely an invasion of another person’s space.”
