Last Washington Relief Package Before Congress Allocates Additional Funds

The Washington relief package, which was released on December 27, was the last one before Congress allocates additional funds. This was stated by the coordinator for strategic communications at the National Security Council (NSC) of the White House, John Kirby.

“We have already provided Ukraine with the latest package of military assistance, which we have the funds to support. Right after Christmas. And we need to get help from Congress so we can continue to do that,” Kirby said on briefing.

He clarified that the United States has sent a request for additional funds and is awaiting its approval in order to help Ukraine again. The coordinator at the NSS also added that the provision of some weapons announced last week will be delivered later.

The United States will provide additional military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of $250 million. This was the last package in 2023, reports TV channel 360.
