Yes, we were all probably fooled by Realme’s announcement on January 3 2024 yesterday. Had thought that they would announce a new smartphone, it turns out that Realme only revealed their new slogan “Make it Real”. But don’t worry, to relieve your disappointment a little, there is a new leak regarding the Realme 12 Pro Plus which you have been waiting for.
Realme 12 Pro Plus design
This time the leak is in the form of an image of the back panel design of the top model of the Realme 12 Series which has not yet been launched. Obtained from TENAA certification in China, the device appears to carry a similar design language to the recently launched flagship Realme GT5 Pro and you could say it is still somewhat similar to the Realme 11 Pro Plus.
The camera arrangement looks similar to the GT5 Pro with four cameras arranged squarely in a fairly large round camera island. Meanwhile, the back panel design looks similar to the 11 Pro Plus with leather material and a vertical stitching line in the middle. The screen design is also likely to remain the same as the curved shape.
Regarding the specifications, the Realme 12 Pro Plus is said to use the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC, which is currently also used by the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G. The camera will reportedly receive a very interesting upgrade, with a telephoto periscope camera unit that uses a 64MB OmniVision OV64B sensor with 3x optical zoom capability.

The Realme 12 Series itself is believed to consist of three models, namely Realme 12, Realme 12 Pro, and Realme 12 Pro Plus. Unfortunately for the other two models there is still minimal information, except for the Realme 12 Pro which is said to use a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom. The release schedule is also still in question, so let’s wait for further information!
